~Internal Peace Amidst External Chaos~

Philippians 4:6-7

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Certainly in our lives, there has been at least one time the Power and Presence of Almighty God has been so evident in a situation . That time or times when there was no other explanation for the answer of a prayer, meeting of a particular need, comfort in time of crisis or anything only our Lord could and did accomplish.

Today, let’s stop and consider the circumstances we were in when our Savior made Himself known to us in such a sweet and special way. In the same way our Father can and will discipline His children out of Perfect Love, bringing us to obedience and understanding, He also cradles, shields and protects us with caring and compassion.

Jesus lived this life.  He walked this earth, as all man and all God.  The Lord was subjected to temptation, yet did not sin. You know what strength and support He had in His Spirit as He endured many trials and tribulations.

He was despised, mocked, beaten and put His Life down for the very ones who tormented Him. He gave His life for those who consider themselves in no need of a Savior, yet desperately do.

Angels were sent to witness through His temptations in the desert. Then in the Garden, when He asked His Father if there was another way, Although He was aware of the tremendous suffering to come,  Jesus continued on with the Plan and  went willingly to the Cross for us, accused, yet sinless. His Own Father had to look away from Him because of us

Just saying, Jesus knows suffering and pain. He understands what it is like to be alone, misunderstood, under pressure and facing something so incredibly difficult, yet still accepting the consequences of following the Father’s Will.

Knowing these things, we have a Comforter Who is here to serve in so many capacities, great and small.

Let’s acknowledge and show appreciation for the Gift of God’s True and Perfect Peace!

Lord Almighty

Thank You for this beautiful day

Please forgive our sins against You, one another and ourselves

We ask that You please show Yourself to us in situations, and please give us a heart of gratitude to You

You do so much for, with, in and through us, Lord Jesus

We just thank You for allowing us to be used by You for any purpose we can serve

Lord, please let us honor You in all we say and do

Let Your Light shine brightly

That anyone around us will see You, not us

Lord, thank You for the Peace that Only You can bring

The world cannot offer peace, Father

Please let us recognize that all it offers is counterfeit and worthless

But what You send is wholesome and pure

We praise You for that, Glorious Lord

In the Name of Your Son, Jesus

Who gave His Life that we can know peace

About voicevessel bwc

First, and most importantly, I love Jesus Christ and I trust in Him as my Lord and Savior. I was raised in a Christian home by a godly dad and mom (who planned and had me in July before turning 42 in August), and 5 older siblings. My father passed away when I was 7 and my mother (who went to be with the Lord in 2005 at 81) never remarried. As a child, I was bullied at school, so I did not have many friends. I didn't want to tell my mom this because I knew she had enough worry being a widow at 50. I know what it is like to be lonely. As an adult, God showed me the value of His Friendship and has blessed me, too, with rich relationships with dear friends who also love the Lord. My husband and I (married 31 years as of 2020), have three wonderful, adult children and son-in-law as well as three darling grandchildren. Along with many others, my husband lost his job, but we refuse to be fearful or angry. The Lord has provided for us and we are so thankful for the opportunity to express gratitude through personal contact and occasional memories I share through writing. I believe the Lord has given me a venue to engage with others and a means to share His Word. Thank you for checking out my page. I hope you enjoy what you read. If there is anything positive or insightful in the devotionals (NOT CALLING MY WRITING "INSPIRED" by any means!), I give all credit and glory to Jesus Christ! On the other side of that, when something makes no sense, that's all me
