Devotional: What If Jesus Considered Us Only As Often As We Do Him?

Philippians 4:19
But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Please check what I write against Scripture! If you read anything that is inaccurate according to the Word of God, please let me know! I encourage each of you to spend time studying His Word and in communication with the Lord! Stay strong!

I was to help with the 1 pm swim class this past Tuesday as well as 4:30. Sure, I enjoy the children and I can save up my checks until I find something I want to get.

I had time to gather my belongings the night before since I was asked about helping after the Monday class finished. As rambunctious as some of those children are, I was a little reluctant to take on two classes in one day; however, I have told myself (and anyone else), “You can do anything for an hour”!

Tuesday morning came and I was READY, I even had the Bible I left at home the week before (yes, one would think, “I’m going to Bible study, I’ll need a BIBLE!). My train leaves the tracks far too often, folks! Youth was the engine and somehow I am already running after the mental caboose before it leaves me permanently behind!

I digressed! As you see the list above, you’ll notice one critical component I did not include because I did not take it with me. I looked frantically through my bag, dumped it out on the floor and fluffed through the contents as though that would make something appear out of nowhere! Yes, I left my towel at home! GRR! I was so consumed with everything else, they served as a distraction from what I needed the most.

Without our Lord Jesus Christ, everything else we have in life is irrelevant. Wealth, “friends”, possessions, all count for nothing!

About voicevessel bwc

First, and most importantly, I love Jesus Christ and I trust in Him as my Lord and Savior. I was raised in a Christian home by a godly dad and mom (who planned and had me in July before turning 42 in August), and 5 older siblings. My father passed away when I was 7 and my mother (who went to be with the Lord in 2005 at 81) never remarried. As a child, I was bullied at school, so I did not have many friends. I didn't want to tell my mom this because I knew she had enough worry being a widow at 50. I know what it is like to be lonely. As an adult, God showed me the value of His Friendship and has blessed me, too, with rich relationships with dear friends who also love the Lord. My husband and I (married 31 years as of 2020), have three wonderful, adult children and son-in-law as well as three darling grandchildren. Along with many others, my husband lost his job, but we refuse to be fearful or angry. The Lord has provided for us and we are so thankful for the opportunity to express gratitude through personal contact and occasional memories I share through writing. I believe the Lord has given me a venue to engage with others and a means to share His Word. Thank you for checking out my page. I hope you enjoy what you read. If there is anything positive or insightful in the devotionals (NOT CALLING MY WRITING "INSPIRED" by any means!), I give all credit and glory to Jesus Christ! On the other side of that, when something makes no sense, that's all me
