Devotional: Accepting, Not Over-Analyzing Salvation’s Perfect Plan

Romans 10:13
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Acts 2:21
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Revelation 3:20

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to Him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.

“Shut the computer and I will pay by check.” This was my response when my husband got frustrated, attempting to pay a utility bill online using an extremely user UN-FREINDLY site.

As typical of our Wonderful Father, He brought a lesson out of everyday life situations.

Anytime mankind jumps in the equation, things get complicated. If you want to see the best example of this, I would probably say take a look at religion. Just take a glance back at Genesis 3, ” Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the Garden?” From there doubt was born. Man started confusing and twisting something so simplistic and perfect. Believe and be saved, HOW HARD IS THAT!

Honestly, even in writing this devotional, it just kept getting longer and longer, until finally I had to go back and edit out paragraphs (not words or sentences). As I was trying to make the point about how simplistically beautiful God’s plan of Salvation is, I could not seem to find a place where emphasizing that ceased and dragging out my own desire for explaining it just for the sake of reading my own words started! I ask the forgiveness of the Father and my sweet, patient sisters and brothers for my unnecessarily excessive expression!

Father God
Thank You for this day You have given us

Lord, knowing Your creation
You lovingly wrote to us in Matthew 17:20 ” And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”

Jesus was
Conceived by the Holy Spirit
Born of a virgin
Lived a sinless life
Suffered and died
Rose on the Third Day
Ascended into Heaven
Sits at the Right Hand of God the Father
And will one day call us Home
Where He is preparing a place for us

Holy and Gracious Savior
Thank You for the beauty and perfection of Your plan

In the Name of Jesus, the Precious Lamb of God

About voicevessel bwc

First, and most importantly, I love Jesus Christ and I trust in Him as my Lord and Savior. I was raised in a Christian home by a godly dad and mom (who planned and had me in July before turning 42 in August), and 5 older siblings. My father passed away when I was 7 and my mother (who went to be with the Lord in 2005 at 81) never remarried. As a child, I was bullied at school, so I did not have many friends. I didn't want to tell my mom this because I knew she had enough worry being a widow at 50. I know what it is like to be lonely. As an adult, God showed me the value of His Friendship and has blessed me, too, with rich relationships with dear friends who also love the Lord. My husband and I (married 31 years as of 2020), have three wonderful, adult children and son-in-law as well as three darling grandchildren. Along with many others, my husband lost his job, but we refuse to be fearful or angry. The Lord has provided for us and we are so thankful for the opportunity to express gratitude through personal contact and occasional memories I share through writing. I believe the Lord has given me a venue to engage with others and a means to share His Word. Thank you for checking out my page. I hope you enjoy what you read. If there is anything positive or insightful in the devotionals (NOT CALLING MY WRITING "INSPIRED" by any means!), I give all credit and glory to Jesus Christ! On the other side of that, when something makes no sense, that's all me
