Devotional: How GREAT Is Our God!

Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Let’s read these words again and again and marinate in the magnificent TRUTH!
How GREAT is our God
LORD above all lords
King above all kings
In complete awe of You
Let us please present our hearts
To You, Oh Lord
In recognition of Your mighty power
Your strength
Your glory
What honor it is to be able to come to You
To worship You
Please fill our hearts with a love so deep for You
That we ourselves cannot understand
We ask, Father
That You give us the willingness to love others
The way we are called to do
Please, God
Conform us to Your likeness
Bend our wills to Your own
A new year is on the horizon
Some of us make promises to others
To ourselves
To You
Father God
May we start from this moment on
Not even waiting until the strike of Midnight on
January 1
With a better outlook
An improved attitude
A greater resolve
To love more deeply
Not only those who love and care for us
But those we find difficult
Or even intolerable at times
Open our eyes to see them as You do
Please let the new year find us
With an obedient heart
Toward You
Minds set on Christ
May we fade to black
While Jesus Christ shines through us
In new and powerful ways
That our faith and trust in You
Will be undeniable
Evidenced by how we live our lives
Let us be salt for You
A light on the hill
Boldly proclaiming Your Word
Let our words and actions
“Jesus Christ is LORD”
Through the blood of the Lamb,
Jesus Christ

“How Great Is Our God”
*Done in sign language. What makes me so happy about this video is how the young man seems to genuinely mean what he is signing about how truly great God is! ENJOY!

“God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen”
“Angels We Have Heard on High”
*I found this to be a very interesting version. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Wishing you all
Peaceful sleep

About voicevessel bwc

First, and most importantly, I love Jesus Christ and I trust in Him as my Lord and Savior. I was raised in a Christian home by a godly dad and mom (who planned and had me in July before turning 42 in August), and 5 older siblings. My father passed away when I was 7 and my mother (who went to be with the Lord in 2005 at 81) never remarried. As a child, I was bullied at school, so I did not have many friends. I didn't want to tell my mom this because I knew she had enough worry being a widow at 50. I know what it is like to be lonely. As an adult, God showed me the value of His Friendship and has blessed me, too, with rich relationships with dear friends who also love the Lord. My husband and I (married 31 years as of 2020), have three wonderful, adult children and son-in-law as well as three darling grandchildren. Along with many others, my husband lost his job, but we refuse to be fearful or angry. The Lord has provided for us and we are so thankful for the opportunity to express gratitude through personal contact and occasional memories I share through writing. I believe the Lord has given me a venue to engage with others and a means to share His Word. Thank you for checking out my page. I hope you enjoy what you read. If there is anything positive or insightful in the devotionals (NOT CALLING MY WRITING "INSPIRED" by any means!), I give all credit and glory to Jesus Christ! On the other side of that, when something makes no sense, that's all me
